When you tell Teresa Van De Veere Pratt that faux finishing may be the fastest-growing segment of the interior decor market, she just smiles and says, "Well, what took so long?"

Pratt is an award-winning professional faux-finish artist and muralist whose work can be seen in theaters, arenas and museums across the country. She has done larger-than-life projects for the 1999 MTV Music Awards and the 1998 Microsoft "Catch the Wave" Conference–just two names on an impressive list of clients. Pratt’s latest venture has introduced her into the entrepreneurship world. She has appeared on The Home Shopping Network selling The Paint Pan Palet, a disposable paint tray liner she invented to simply her work.
