WHY WOMEN ?
Of course there are some "Do It Yourself" ladies! However, what has become evident is that the "Ladies of the house" want to know what to ask and what to expect when a concrete project is to be done around the house. THE MEN ?
The male "Do It Yourself/Handy man" has discovered that concrete work is not just a matter of "add water" to "pour" and that concrete can be work. He has always been assumed to "know about that cement work stuff." Now he wants to know the "Why's" and in the end be "Wise" so as to not have to do it again.
Mr. Concrete will bring that "something different" to your show by adding a feature that will give the men a reason to "be there." Instead of him being a "Drag-a-long" he will be a willing "Tag-a-Long," adding attendance to your show.

Larry Medd, "Mr. Concrete" helps homeowners and contractors alike. His presentations are based on his knowledge and experience from over thirty years in the contracting, sand and gravel and ready mixed concrete industries. The design and engineering standards of concrete are shown in his presentations and demonstrations that are explained in easily understood terms.

1. relates to cracking, it's causes and repair.
2. relates to surface deterioration, and it's repair.
These two issues are probably the most exasperating to the public because no one has explained to them the need for the proper base preparation, the correct concrete, control and constructions joints (THEY ARE DIFFERENT!) curing sealing care and maintenance. Larry explains these basics to do-it- yourselfers and contractors, along with guidelines to locate and understand what to ask and expect from contractors.
